Pay close attention, because this is pretty complicated.
Here is what you will need:
Now, THE PLAN! Choose a book of the Bible you wish to study. (I chose Acts because I wanted to dive into the New Testament launch of local and global missions.) Open up to the first chapter and start writing out what you read VERSE by VERSE on the right hand page, leaving the left hand page open for your notes. Jot down any questions that come up, anything God reveals about the scripture, anything you want to memorize or share. If you are creative, you can even doodle, draw and decorate that left hand page. Bible journaling is all the rage these days. Wait til you see how artistic some people are as they celebrate His Word with art supplies. That's it. Complicated? No, that was sarcasm above. ;) Amazingly eye opening and meaningful? YES! In fact, I look forward to doing this so much that I often steal time more than once each day to jot down more verses. If you try it, let me know what you think. Just think what it might do in your life if you actually WROTE down every verse in the New Testament...or the WHOLE BIBLE?! I think it would be incredibly transforming and a great investment of our time. Sorta wishing I had gotten hooked on this sooner.
