Yesterday was Mother's Day.
We were blessed to have an opportunity to stand before our church family and dedicate newly adopted Hezekiah to the Lord. Pete & I stood up front beside five other families...all with pristine little infant girls in frilly dresses and hair bows or headbands. Us? A perfect picture of who we are...a scrappy lil 3 1/2 year old brown boy with a full leg cast on his one week old broken leg...in blue jean shorts and a plaid shirt that, YES, matched his lime green cast! Later, I saw lovely pictures posted of the other families with extended family members all posing with the clean & cute dedicated princesses. My guy threw such a fit after leaving the service that Pete had to take him OUT OF THE BUILDING! They escaped over to the grocery store to buy stuff for lunch and {gasp} Hez was placated with the ever faithful M&Ms. (I believe Pete even estimated it was gonna take a KING SIZE bag!?!) Here are the photos I was able to snap...yea....that's how we roll....casual and real and well, nothing too fancy. I love my family. My husband is AWESOME and my kids are FANTASTIC...even if they DO drive me craaaaazy most days. *Kane was working...but we stopped by to visit him on his lunch hour. Funny...but he did NOT want me to take his picture while he was eating.)
