It was over a year ago that we ventured to the Milwaukee airport EARLY, early, early one summer morning to help this beautiful family drag a couple dozen plastic bins and about as many duffle bags and backpacks into the terminal. They were "giving up" everything they knew and owned to GO...and serve. This is no small task for a family of EIGHT! They are part of the Strong Hearts Ethiopia team, running the Family Care Center with the generous support of their home "sending" church in Mequon, WI. Mark & Bridget Sullivan are "behind-the-scenes" people with servant hearts. You won't see a lot of fancy photos of them. They simple serve diligently and their WHOLE family gets involved. Tatum and Brogan and I visited them this past spring and I was struck by how much they have embraced the culture. They fit seamlessly into their neighborhood. I am also encouraged by how they continue to take the challenges of living in Ethiopia in stride...day after day. As if raising six kids were not enough to keep two people busy, Bridget does more than my mind can grasp to serve the children and their families - AND the staff - at the day care and preschool. Meanwhile, Mark commutes to Bingham Academy where he is using his technical expertise to upgrade their computer systems. Imagine doing THAT in a country where not only the internet is sketchy...but, electricity, as well! The Sullivans have been a blessing to our family and we hope and pray we will be living and serving alongside them SOON as part of the Strong Hearts Ethiopia team. Please join us in praying they will ALL remain strong & healthy...and that they will be BLESSED as they are used to BLESS others! http://strongheartsethiopia.org/programs/family-care-center/
