I had lunch today with three ladies I serve every week. One is a Muslim refugee from Sudan, another is a Christian refugee from South Sudan, and yet another is a Muslim refugee from Iraq.
They might kill me by insisting I eat everything they bring for lunch - but - these are beautiful, peaceful people who have been through more than I can ever imagine. Once you put a name and a face on the 'problem,' your attitude changes.
Yes, I fear ISIS. Yes, I abhor terrorism. But I trust God - I know he is in control even when our own government seems clueless. And I am stepping into the mess that is life...if only to make it a tiny bit more humane.
